Bill Damerry I just found this site. I often go into the Hemer webcam site and have a look at the downtown and surrounding area. What a great place it was to grow up. January 22, 2011
Thomas F. Smith My father was the late Major Frank Smith 2RCR (Fort York) We moved from London Ontario and for a brief period lived at 15E Kanadischer (sp) My parents had both met and married in 1957 at the chapel of St. Marks Fort York From West Germany we moved to Winnipeg, CFB Shilo, Windsor On, and then Penhold Alberta. My parents retired to Windsor, and I went onto Toronto. I now live in Windsor, after many years of teaching school in suburban Detroit Michigan. January 20, 2011
Ron Blanchard This was my favorite posting, while in Germany, I was part of the Guard of honour on Vimy Ridge, I'm not certain but I believe it was in 1959 or 1960, I was a Black Watcher, so Our Kilts, green coatees, diced hose tops, white spats, belts and gloves made us perhaps the most colourful guard, we stayed in Arras, which is a short distance from the Ridge. I was just going through his album from Germany and I have a copy of the menu for the 1964 Christmas Dinner. It was signed on the back by nine of his friends, some of the names that I can read are Davis, Potter, Conway, Smith and Neal. There is also various pictures and business cards as well as leave papers. Would be nice to talk to someone who had served with or knew him. There are a fair bit of b + w pictures from Germany and Shilo. Thanks Al Boudreau January 15, 2011

Roger Fournier Just returned from a visit to Werl in October 2010. Did not find old PMQs this trip but saw one of the Forts {now a golf course}. I was 10 years old at the time. I had a sister Annette who would have been 15/16. She had a radio show called "2 Girls & a Star". Must have been a radio station for the PMQs only I suspect. I was also in cubs and went to Winterberg. There is a picture posted of Cubs from Werl in 1958. It appears they are going somewhere because of the luggage. I am almost certain that is my dad in the background fixing my uniform. I am also looking for pictures from this period or pictures from the Ivernia or Corinthia. What an amazing site and journey down memory lane. November 11, 2010

The first thing I did was put in a link to this great site. It is a skeleton now but hopefully people will find it and add stories, updates, photos, events, whatever. It is certainly worth a try!
