- This was my favorite posting, while in Germany, I was part of the Guard of honour on Vimy Ridge, I'm not certain but I believe it was in 1959 or 1960, I was a Black Watcher, so Our Kilts, green coatees, diced hose tops, white spats, belts and gloves made us perhaps the most colourful guard, we stayed in Arras, which is a short distance from the Ridge.
