Bye for now .Bob Gillingham
I really enjoyed all my tours in Germany, have visited many times since my retirement, I now live in London Ontario. This is a very good site, brings back a lot of memories. Jean Charlebois9Charlie)
It brings back memories. I was 18 years old than (1966). Being French Canadian, I enjoyed my tour in Hemer. If I had to do it again, I would start all over.
Love this website and I encourage all Brats I know to visit it. See you brats at the big reunion in Calgary, August 2006 for COBRA III. Keep in touch ! Prost Colleen
I started in Shilo in 1962. My squad was 91. I would like to hear from anyone who was in the same squad. I served in Germany from 63 65. Loved every moment of my time.
Hello. I have found this site by error. Imagine - this is such a pleasure! I have been back to Germany many, many times and I always go back to my memories in this area. The streets have been renamed now and the street #'s are now also different. I am a TRUE military brat. I have wonderful memories and am so very fortunate to have lived in Hemer. I started my travelling then in 1955 and have been travelling ever since. I stay in Hemer and also in Iserlohn when I go back regularly. Write me if you know me. We had a piano in our PMQ. They loaded it in on a crane thru the living room balcony!! Regards, (Tish) Mack (ps. I'm 59 now)
Finding this web sight brings back a lot of memories. Especially seeing the PMQ'S again. I remember visiting the area in the early 80's, with kid's of my own and showing them where I went to school. Thanks
hello to anyone who was at BMH Iserlohn. There was several Canadian Medics at the hospital while I was there. I met my husband Gord in Iserlohn and we were married in England and then were posted to Soest at Fort Chambly. we returned to Canada March 1971 and were in Victoria B.C. Take care out there Susan
Came upon this site by chance and what a trip down memory lane. Although it will not be the same I am definitely going to make a trip in the not too distant future back to Soest. Played hockey for the Kline Huskies and have fond memories of the Teen club and of course some of the local watering holes. Can't believe its been almost 40 years since leaving there. Time sure flies when having fun, If there is anyone out there that remembers me and wants to contact me feel free to do so. Would love to hear from people from the past
What a great site! Like most brats, I'm always looking for familiar names and this site brings back lots of great memories. I'd love to hear from any old friends, not just from Germany, but from Calgary or Borden as well!
Was in The Royal Canadian Army Pay Corps and worked in Bde HQ pay office as a Cpl and then was a Sgt (Bookkeeper) with the Fort Garry Horse. This is a great site.

Your website was listed in the Atlantic Branch Newsletter of The Black Watch (RHR) of Canada Association and believe me, it was a thrill to look back at some photos which brought back very fond memories. Keep up the good work.

Your site brought back a lot of memories for me. Those two years were a long time ago, but the photos remind me of many family photos we have of that time. I'm still looking for a long lost childhood friend of mine from 1957 to 1964 - Brian Clarke, whose father was in the RCHA.
What's up all you truckers clerks and cooks? Yes, I'm still kickin and riding my bike. Just finished surgery on my right should for the second time , it wore out. As long as that is all that wears out I'll be okay LOL I now live in Chipman NB. and am enjoying reasonably good health. Take care you all and God Bless.
Hi, my name is Robyn Nuttall, I am looking for an old friend of my Mom's, DEBORAH (Debbie) WOODLAND ('65-'69?). Debbie's father's name was Bill Woodland, and I think he was a Cpl in the RCR. Bill had 3 daughters, of whom Debbie was the eldest. (Mom also mentioned something about them having a bird of some sort lol) Any information about Debbie or Bill would be GREATLY appreciated! I have been looking for her for quite some time! Thank you!
Hello, Would anyone know what happened to Bill Henderson, the Globe Theatre manager when Fort Chambly was closed. Somebody mentioned that he followed the troops down to Lahr? Regards to anyone who might remember me. John O`Meara
Thanks for keeping this site up-to-date. I was back to Soest last summer with my father (Charlie Fielding-86 years old- RCEME). Only spent about 2 hrs but it brought back many good memories. I want to go back again and spend more time. Would love to here from any one who recognizes my name. Have a Good Day everyone!!
