- Arrived in July 1956 from Griesbach Barracks in Edmonton. Sailed on Empress of Britain from Montreal to Liverpool. Father was WO2 Frank Bolton RQMS who worked at the Station Office around the corner form the Highshool. I was in Grade 8. Played baseball in 1956 and 1957. I was also on one of the minor league Hockey Teams. Also have find memories of sitting in the back of a 2 1/2 ton truck that took all of us to the bowling alley at one of the Forts. Unfortunately our 2 year posting was cut short in August 1957 when my father was diagnosed with TB. We were shipped back to Currie Barracks in Calgary because they had a TB sanatorium in Calgary.
