- Age 8 to 11 years in W. Germany. I remember my 90 minute school bus rides the most. Big green military buses took me past the beautiful Mohnesee Dam each day to Fort Chambly School. Also no TV for 3 years but that didn't seem to matter as we could make our own fun. Enjoyed the local village festivals too. The German people were excellent hosts. Thank you!
