- Hello Friends, I hosted a student for 1999-2000 from Arnsburg and returned to Germany and a visit to Werl in 2001.Some of the PMQ's have been torn down but look much the same and are used for low income housing. The school has elementary still in it and the town has grown to include Wickede and the surroundings. Fort St. Louis and St. Anne are being allowed to crumble into a historic forest site while Fort Henry has an industrial use. The swans are still in the Park and the town has agreed to look after the graves of Canadians for another 50 years. Germany is very multinational now, some places were like Toronto for culture. It was a great experience hope others will go back.
