I lived in Hemer from 1957 to 1960 at 58 Zepplinstrasse. I attended grades 1-3 at Hemer School.(age 7-9 My Dad was in the R.C.H.A. I vaguely remember some of my friends while there. Danny Woodbury, Kenneth? Ernie? Robbie Payne. Sharon, the girl that always stole my scooter, Paul Ferris My mother ran the teenage dances at the school on Friday nights. I was attacked by some of the German kids from the orphanage on my way there to scrounge some chocolate bars one night and was saved by my German Shepherd. I have many fond memories of Germany, I especially liked the area between the town and the base near the glider strip with all the caves and holes in the ground, my friends and I were always finding WW2 stuff there. In 59 me and another guy (Patrick I think) landed in jail in the German part of town for doing something stupid and caused major grief for our parents and the MP's. Mr Gibson who was a teacher at the school ended up being one of my teachers in grade 8 at Deer Park school in Toronto

  2. Just wondering if the nickname Boots means anything to you?
