- I was simple blown away when I found this web site while looking for info on my Dad's military service. Memories came flooding back as I saw the old photos. Well done to those people who put it together. After Hemer we went to Camp Borden then to Vancouver where my Day retired. After lots of years travelling around I met and married an Australian and have lived in Queensland since 1979. We have 2 kids Jay 20 and Kara 17. I never thought Kara looked at all like me until I saw my grade 8 year book photo.
