I guess living in Werl, Germany as a military brat had to be one of my greatest experiences which I can remember to-date. The second best experience was living there the second time for six years with the Royal Canadian Air Force (1973-1979). I had managed to learn the language during my first time there and this was to my advantage while living there as a civilian and second, as a serviceman. I was transferred to the Europahof Hotel as management and knowing three languages was a pre-requisite. Travelled to every country imaginable less the communist ones because of my security clearance within the military. I have managed to travel back there several times after being posted back to Canada and who knows, I might just return one more time. Auf Wiedersehen bis nextes mal.
