We moved to Germany in 1962 came across on the SS HOMERICK started off all right but hit the tail end of a hurricane on the way. Moved into Langschied on the shores of the Sorpesee. Lived above a blacksmiths shop for a year or so then into Hemer. My father was CE Crocker, Sgt., 1 SSM Battery at Fort Prince of Wales. Left Germany in the fall of 1966 just B where I got out of school in 1968 then joined the RCMP in 1970. Went to Saskatchewan for training and stayed in Saskatchewan and the NWT for the next 36 yrs. Worked in Coppermine NWT which was 250 miles north of the Arctic Circle. Stayed in the NWT for 10 yrs., then came back to Saskatchewan. Retired in 2005 and went back to work for the Sask., Gov't as an investigator and still employed with them. Nice to hear from people that have lived in the Ruhr area.
