- I have GREAT memories of my German time. Single when I arrived in Chambly Married in Scotland a few years later then lived on German economy. I was a cook and I saw many pics of guys I lived and worked with, Hendrickson, pitre, staples to mention a few. Just looked at this site for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it. as Bob Hope used to say "Thanks for the Memories"
