- Most of the time at Fort Chambly, but also at Fort Prince of Wales for a few months.

- As a relief Manager/Operator we had WO`s and SGT`s status. And were at that time employed by the War Department (UK). We travelled by troop train and troop ship when need be. I celebrated my 21st birthday at Fort Prince of Wales. Spent the day exploring the woods at the rear of the camp. That is until some German Tanks (Training unit) came roaring out of the trees, and I had to run for it! Most of the time my accommodation was in the WO`s and SGT`s Mess, with 1 TPT Coy RCASC. Room 13. Occasionally I would be posted to British units throughout Germany, but always to return to Fort Chambly. Happy days, unfortunately never to return! Thanks for making me feel at home!
