- Wow!! I have never been back to Hemer, nor have I ever seen any pictures. The photos brought back fond memories of life as a little kid in Hemer: soft strawberry ice-cream at the MLS, 1/2 a piece of Juicy Fruit gum from the black bus driver!, a cemetery at the top of a hill close to Breslauer Strasse, cobblestone roads on the way to the Peugeot Bike shop (they gave out free hats!!) and so on!! The only names of kids I remember are: Alison Bird, Jasmine Pearson, Mark Bastien, Mark Luscombe, the Van Noords and my Gr. 1 teacher, Miss Taylor and Gr. 2 teacher, Mrs. Fernland. I would love to hear from anyone that remembers me or any of my siblings, Billy, Kathy and Alan!
