- Brilliant site - so many pictures! They brought back lots of emotional memories. My father was with 2nd Field Regiment R.A. We moved in after you Canadians left. We visited lots of places and dad had great opportunity to ski - he was in the army Olympic ski-ing team. I went to Hemer primary school (Hemer senior high) for 2 years and then onto secondary school in Dortmund. I think Hemer was dads best posting. We had such great times there. Thanks for such a great site.
