Barbara | Tredwell | The years disappear when browsing this site !!! (Gotta love it.) I returned to Hemer in 2002 - even made front page news with my reunion of a German girlfriend I chummed with then. Lots of changes there but still the same ol' Hemer. Had a good fill of currywurst, schnitzels, pomme-frits mit mayonnaise, and of course, beer. I managed to visit a lot of the old gasthofs - what a reception by the townspeople! I knew Canadians were liked & admired but had no idea how much till then. Am returning in summer of 2004 -didn't get my fill of the marketplatz. | January 2, 2004 |
