Perley Hanson Viewing this site has brought back a great many memories. As a young Rat Rat it had to be the best posting my dad had. It was nice to see the name Julie Staples as she run around with my sister Linda. A wonderful site and keep up the good work. It would be nice to see some more school memory photos. May 30, 2004
George Girling Being with 1 fld Amb for three years, I was in the Fort Henry DB in the fall of 64 when the unit moved from Fort Anne to Fort Chambly. The SSM battery took over Fort Anne on our departure. In the section "Forts", they have the Field Amb stationed in Fort Anne but in actual fact left on the dates I mentioned. Great Site! May 30, 2004

Karen Evered I'm so glad to find this site. Most folks think I'm making it up when I say my Dad was posted to Germany and it wasn't to Baden or Lahr. I love looking at the picture of the playground where I was hit with a toy pistol and had to get stitches in my head at 5 years of age. May 15, 2004

Rod Parker Got your site from Ed Hansens Snr Nco's Club page, I also served with your Dad. This page has given me great memories seeing photo's of the old Forts then and now. As you can see I live in England now but still keep close contact with fellow Patricias in Calgary and all over Canada. As Bob Hope used to sing, "Thanks for the Memories" Cheers Rod May 11, 2004
Gerry Den Hartogh I was pleasantly surprised to come across this Guards site. It is very interesting and it does bring back some very good memories. My oldest son was born while I was in Germany, at BMH Iserlohn. Coming originally from Holland, being back in Germany was great for me, as I spent many a week back with Family. I would do it all over again in a minute, if not for the shutzen fest alone. Great set-up May 10, 2004

Art Doran This is an outstanding surprise and with very fond memories of my best serving years in the Army. I was Married in Werl, had three children born there over two tours, my second son David was buried in the Canadian cemetery in Werl. As a sapper there we worked hard during exercises and by golly played twice as hard. They were days of Good Soldiering, you took care of your buddies and all of CFPO 5050 were your buddies. Soest- Hwy#1 Coppacabana Bar, Werl- Bruno's, Deilinghoffen- Molly Bar, these places helped bond us all together....UBIQUE.. March 24, 2004
Garry P. Waite What pleasant memories of Old Ft Victoria , and many others from both tours of service in Germany. I still exchange stamps with a German friend today 2004. March 24, 2004
David Mills Great site. As one of the original dependents, we spent several months in England before we secured accommodations in Cappel, near Lippstadt. After 8 months with no school, I started in a multi grade setup in 2 rooms of a German school, catching an old Ford bus at 0630 hrs that meandered through village after village.... Both ways getting home in time for supper. We were early movers into the new PMQ apartments, having to use an open door Dodge 3/4 ton, as the entire landscape was mud with no street work done. I remember the move into the new PMQ school and the opening of the Maple Leaf Store. Somewhere I have an old 1955 school picture??? March 24, 2004
