Stephen Lock Since discovering this site a couple of months ago, I have gone on a flurry of web searches for Soest and Hemer, including sites that are British Brat sites since I was in Iserlohn/Hemer after the Canadians pulled out and the Brits moved in (and who stayed until 1992, beating "our" stay by 4 years). I have had a wonderful time looking at various sites that show what is going on in these cities now (shutzenfests, marathon races, youth events, walking tours, fire department demos, street fairs, and -- of course -- Kirmes in Soest). I have started corresponding not only with people I knew back then (Canadian brats as well as British brats), but also with strangers who have posted items to various sites. Thank The Deity for Google!! February 24, 2007
Margaret Southall Member of the Armed Forces British Army February 21, 2007
John Dorsey Great site - glad to have found it. Often think back about what a weird and wonderful place this was for a kid growing up. Sometimes wonder whatever happened to a pretty tight little group of guys - the "Galaxy Gang" I believe we called ourselves (space travel was big back then) - Mark Eldridge, Scott Adams, Richard Mayhew, Pierre Desjardins - hope I haven't left out names, and spelling might be off. John Dorsey February 20, 2007
