We hated to leave and were not fortunate enough to get back there. Friends that we made while there are still friends that we keep in touch with. Military life was great. It sure was fun to go through the photos and be reminded of how young we were. The equipment, (or lack there-of), we had in those days was really something. Seeing those bivies made out of ponchos and covered with snow brought back a lot of not-so-fond memories. As a vehicle tech, we had to crawl around in the mud under those old trucks, keeping them going, night or day! Boy, was that fun! sic!
