Wish everyone well. January 25, 2009 Reuben A. Jones I am the father of Gary and Martin Jones who are previous guests. I was NCI I/c Admin. at 1 FDB from Apr '59 to June '62. I served in WW11, with the RASC and RCASC from Feb '40 to Mar '46 then became a civilian Policeman in the UK until June '54 when I joined the C Pro C until June '62, then civilian life in UK. I am in my 90th year so I doubt that there are many of my old buddies left. Still you never know. Anyhow it would be nice to receive an Email from another old codger! As he mentioned dad was in RCPC at 4FDB, Fort Henry working nearly all his time in the office. Together with Ivan Jones I attended the junior school but a year behind Ivan, Grades 3,4 and 5. They were great times and we all have very fond memories of Soest which we missed when we moved to the UK after my dad finished his tour. Kept in touch with Garth Hall for many years but lost his address in Dawson Creek during my moves whilst serving in the RAF, would love to hear from him and anyone else. It was a real find to come across this site a few nights ago and the whole family is now enjoying it, keep up the good work. January 23, 2009 Gary Jones Dad was Cpl. Reuben Jones, C PRO C, serving with 4 FDB, and still going strong. I attended Grades 7-8 for the 3 year tour. Am now living in the Wirral in the UK and looking forward to my pension. I was at a birthday party last night for a friend's 50th (in Langley B.C.). It just so happened his sister-in-law was a teacher in Werl. I went onto this website and found her picture in the school yearbook, and Emailed her the link. What a small world and this website really pulls the past to the present. November 28, 2008 Roger Levesque I was born (Roger) at the Werl German hospital (1958)and my brother was born at the BMH in Iserlohn (1968).
